The Team

We are committed to following Biblical principles. We believe that scripture clearly teaches that accountability and Godly counsel are imperative in the direction of every believer. As such, God has sent us a team of seasoned believers to support us in these ways, both personally and organizationally. The “Board of Directors” is the governing body of Jasmund Outreach, where the “Spiritual Advisory Team” is a group of volunteers who have been and continue to be committed to us in prayer, accountability, and Godly counsel.

“Brothers, choose… from among you [those] who are known to be full of the spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them.”

Pastor Steven (Bear) Dauenhauer (Board of Directors and Spiritual Advisory Team) is the director of student and youth ministries at Bayou Talla Fellowship Church in Mississippi. He is married to Julia and they have two sons, Steven and Wyatt.  Bear excelled in sports, played college football and pro European football.  When he accepted Christ as savior, he experienced dramatic life change and transformation, which has been used by God  and continues to impact and influence the lives of others. Bear served in the U.S. Army and has degrees from Gulf Coast College and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with career experience as an: aircraft mechanic, marine electrician, quality inspector on the space shuttle, manager of a U.S. Navy recreational facility and now as a Pastor. He is is a refuge and safe haven for the youth of his church, community and schools throughout his area. Bear has been greatly used of God and is a gifted and passionate evangelist  and mentor who regularly introduces people to Jesus as Lord and Savior. Bear has greatly blessed the Jasmund’s through his friendship, faith, passion and surrender to God.

Lillian M. Easterly-Smith (Board of Directors and Spiritual Advisory Team) is the Founder, Executive Director and Community Care Pastor of LifeCare Christian Center. She serves with her husband Mike and has an adult daughter and two beautiful grandchildren. She holds a degree in Counseling/Psychology and Biblical Studies; is a Licensed Pastor; Licensed, Ordained Chaplain with I.F.O.C. (International Fellowship of Chaplains) and a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor. Lillian has served on staff of two large churches and developed numerous ministries and curriculums and is sought after as a speaker and workshop leader for caregivers, counselors and pastors.  Her extensive qualifications and unique God-given gifts have equipped her to affect change in the lives of hundreds, if not thousands, of people. God has also used Lillian as a influencial friend and mentor in the Jasmund’s lives.

Dr. Robert Karl M.D. (Board of Directors and Spiritual Advisory Team) is the Owner and CEO of Nevada Family Care. Rob grew up in a Christian home with both of his parents having doctorates in Theology and Ministry. Rob’s dad was the senior Pastor their local church and mom served with dad; has authored numerous books, retired as a schoolteacher and principal and still serves the Lord. The experience and training he received growing up as a “kid Pastor” shaped his faith and character and equipped him with invaluable life skills and ministry tools. Rob entered college at fourteen years old, (yes it is true) and earned his medical degree from Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, MI in record time. Rob and his wife Nicole met while serving together in Church. They served in medical mission work weeks after their wedding day. They have two children who just happen to be two of Gary and Sihams grandchildren. Rob has served as a worship leader, small group leader and an elder in the local church. His gifts, wisdom and heart for God are a continual source of help, counsel and encouragement for the Jasmund’s and all who know him.

John Dage (Spiritual Advisory Team) graduated from Lawrence Technological University and has been an electrical engineer at DTE for over 20 years. He accepted Christ as a child and has sought and served the Lord throughout his life. He and his wife Patti have two grown children in college and serve together in the local church. He has lead bible studies, helping hands ministry, mission’s trips and served in youth/student ministries. John and Patti have served with the Jasmunds on numerous mission teams. John and Gary have been prayer and accountability partners for years. John is a gifted, humble, selfless servant who quietly blesses and lifts up people and the name of the Lord in every thing he does. His wise perspective, love for God and heart for the lost have been an influential part of the Jasmund journey.

Pastor Mike & Kathy Teston (Spiritual Advisory Team) began their career ministry service as missionaries, heading into “the field” upon Mike’s seminary graduation. They met in Bible College and have three children, the oldest being born in the Solomon Islands, two son’s in-law and two grandchildren. They continue to support and serve in foreign missions. At present Mike is a Pastor at North Point Community Church in Georgia and Kathy is the principal of a Christian school. Mike has also served as a Senior Pastor and an associate Pastor of another large Church. They  have dedicated their lives to serving God and have a wealth of gifting and experience. Mike and Kathy give love, wisdom and encouragement to all they touch. God has used them as a significant influencers, mentors and examples to the Jasmund family.
